The  "Institute for Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Information Technology and Computer Science (IMBIC),"  India having branches in Sweden and Japan is organising its 17th International Conference on “Mathematical Sciences for Advancement of Science and Technology (MSAST 2018)” during December 21-23, 2023 in Kolkata, India. The conference will be held in Hybrid mode, i.e., participants can attend our conference face-to-face in Kolkata or join through online modeMany scientists from different parts of India, USA, Canada, Sweden, Germany, France, Japan, Mexico, Egypt, Finland, Australia, Botswana, South Africa, Nigeria, Algeria, Australia, Turkey, Brazil, Korea etc participated in the earlier International Conferences IMBIC.


Objective of the Conference:

The main objective of the conference is to bring specialised topics in mathematics, statistics, computer science, bioinformatics and closely related interdisciplinary areas to the forefront. The conference will contribute to the development of mathematical sciences and their applications and bring together mathematicians, statisticians, computer and bioinformatics scientists, interdisciplinary researchers, engineers and educators from all over the world.


Types of Publications:

  • Abstract only: Authors are requested to submit the extended abstract of the paper (4 pages) related to the Theme of the Conference: "Mathematical Sciences for Advancement of Science and Technology" with an abstract and relevant bibliography indicating the motivation of the problem and important results. All submitted extended abstracts will be reviewed by the experts and accepted Abstracts will be published in the Proceedings of IMBIC, Volume 12,  having ISBN 978-81-925832-9-7

  • Full paper Publication:  The authors are requested to submit Full Papers (within 18 pages including Bibliography), with relevant bibliography indicating the motivation of the problem, its method of solution and important results. The accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings of IMBIC, Volume 12,  having ISBN 978-81-925832-9-7  except for a few full papers of high quality, selected on satisfactory expert and ithenticate reports, which will be published in the highly acclaimed Proceedings of Springer (Applied for) with Main Discipline: Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Applications.

Review Process:

All papers to be submitted to the 17th International Conference of IMBIC on Mathematical Sciences for Advancement of Science and Technology (MSAST 2023) will be peer reviewed by the reviewers appointed by the Program Committee. The single blind reviewing process will be adopted where the reviewers names will not be disclosed to the authors before or after the paper review process. However, the authors names will be known to the reviewers as their names appear on the submitted papers.


Instructions to the Authors:

Authors of accepted papers/abstracts must guarantee that their papers/abstracts will be presented at the conference. At least one registration is compulsory against each accepted paper/abstract. Each participant is to be registered. Only registered participants are eligible to get the participation certificates and other conference materials. The presentation certificate will be issued only to the registered participants who will present the paper.

The main objective of the conference is to bring specialized topics in mathematics, statistics, computer science, bioinformatics and closely related interdisciplinary areas to the forefront. The conference will contribute to the development of mathematical sciences and their applications and bring together mathematicians, statisticians, computer and bioinformatics scientists, interdisciplinary researchers, engineers and educators from all over the world.

The authors are requested to submit their papers either for publication (in that case, full paper will be published) or for the presentation only (in that case, only abstract will be published). 
All the papers are to be screened and accepted papers will be published in the proceedings of IMBIC, Volume 8, having ISBN  978-81-925832-7-3, except for a few full papers of high quality, selected on satisfactory expert and ithenticate reports, which will be published in the highly acclaimed series of Springer Monograph on Mathematical and Statistical Applications in Biology, Engineering, Environment and Information Science 


In 2017, Springer published the IMBIC Monograph with selective papers from the MSAST Conference.





For publication of full papers, the authors are requested to submit the full original papers of high quality related to the Theme of the Conference: "Mathematical Sciences for Advancement of Science and Technology" with an abstract and relevant bibliography indicating the motivation of the problem, its method of solution and important results.

For presentation only, the authors are requested to submit for review the extended abstract of the paper (4 pages) related to the Theme of the Conference: "Mathematical Sciences for Advancement of Science and Technology" with an abstract and relevant bibliography indicating the motivation of the problem and important results.

All papers to be submitted to the 13th International Conference of IMBIC on Mathematical Sciences for Advancement of Science and Technology (MSAST 2019) will be peer reviewed by the reviewers appointed by the Program Committee. The single blind reviewing process will be adopted where the reviewers names will not be disclosed to the authors before or after the paper review process. However, the authors names will be known to the reviewers as their names appear on the submitted papers.


Authors of accepted papers/abstracts must guarantee that their papers/abstracts will be presented at the conference.
