Brief Introduction about the Institute


The Institute for Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Information Technology and Computer Science (IMBIC) is an NGO registered under West Bengal Societies Registration Act 1961 and is dedicated to scientific & technical activities, having branches in Sweden and Japan. The Institute is  registered on NGO Darpan Portal having Unique Id of VO\NGO as WB/ 2016/ 0108813  and also  registered under Central Plan Scheme Monitoring System (CPSMS) % Controller General of Accounts, Ministry of Finance with Unique Code: INSTITUTE FOR MATHS BIOINFOR TECH & COMPOSC (IMBIC).

Objective of the Institute

The institute IMBIC promotes higher education and propagates knowledge through organization of national and international conferences, manuscript development work  for publication of  books, monographs, conference  proceedings, transactions and other publications by National or  International publishers.

Organization of International conference every year during December 21-23

The institute IMBIC organizes international interdisciplinary conferences on mathematical sciences for advancement of science and technology every year. Many scientists from different parts of India, USA, Canada, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Finland, Mexico, Germany, Australia, Botswana, South Africa, Turkey, Egypt, Nigeria, and some other countries participated in the earlier International Conferences organized by IMBIC at Kolkata with financial support from different ministries and departments of Govt. of India such as DRDO, DST, Ministry of IT, MOSPI, Indian Statistical Institute, CSIR, and Govt. of West Bengal and clearance from different ministries.

Asian Books Pvt. Ltd.

Another main objective of IMBIC is to write books on basic mathematics which may be used by students of mathematics studying mathematics as well as by those pursuing research career in mathematical sciences and their applications. Two basic mathematics books authored by experts of IMBIC have been published in 2014 and 2016 by Springer, a leading International Publisher

Ltd., New Delhi.
